Who we are...Seriously, this is who we are

Elizabeth C. Gutterman, Artistic Director. A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Elizabeth earned her BA in Playwriting, Directing and Theatre Education from Sarah Lawrence College and her Master's in Playwriting from Actors Studio Drama School.  Off-Broadway productions of her plays include: Stand-Up Girl at Bleecker Street Theatre, Dawning at the Producer's Club and On Dry Land at The Blue Heron.  She has taught High School English and Drama (and not just for the money) and is a stand-up comic who has performed all over New England and New York in both respectable clubs, unsavory hellholes and many a Chinese restaurant.  Tired of having informational interviews (exhausted, really), Elizabeth started Stand-Up Girl Productions with her two favorite Jenns.

Founding Members:

Jennifer Hyjack received her BA from Rutgers University,and her MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School.  Jenn writes and performs with the NYC based sketch comedy groups Comedy Period, The Skirts and Mouth.  She spreads her own wacky musical comedy at clubs and colleges across the country.  She has performed at the Boston Comedy Festival and recently had one of her parodies featured on the Dr. Demento Show.  Jenn is also half of the angriest girl duo...ever, Dirty Jesus.  She has starred in numerous independent films, off-off broadway plays, and is an accomplished voice over talent for radio & TV.  For more info visit: www.jennhyjack.com and www.myspace.com/jennhyjack.

Jenn Wehrung is actually a stand-up comic who has appeared at Caroline's and Gotham (among too many others to count), headlined at the Ice Palace and at the Royal Hall for Cornwall in England and she has countless burlesque credits (as Bella DaBalls, of course).  She sold out her first one-woman show at Dillon's- sort of a stand-up vs cabaret evening and got rave reviews in last year's Fringe Fest in both AMERICANBLACKOUT and Rapunzel.  She was proud to be part of the cast of SUG's last productoin, On Dry Land and continues her association with Jenn Hyjack around town as part of the sketch comedy trio, The Skirts.  Oh, and she is a nanny in her spare time.  She owns www.jennwehrung.com but has yet managed to operate it so stay tuned!
